Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy explains what information Smart Web Advisors (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit smartwebadvisors.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, ask us at Larry@smartwebadvisors.com.
What We Collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact or audit request form, we collect what you enter: typically your name, business name, email address, website URL, and anything you write in the message field. Providing it is voluntary — it’s how we deliver the audit you asked for.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly all websites, we use analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser type. Our web server and caching system also keep standard technical logs (IP addresses, requests) for security and performance. [CHECK: name your analytics tool here, e.g., Google Analytics 4.]
Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies for performance (caching) and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How We Use It
- To respond to your inquiry and deliver the audit or service you requested.
- To follow up about your request, including by email. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us.
- To understand and improve how the website performs.
- To protect the site against abuse and keep it running.
What we don’t do: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who We Share It With
We use a small set of service providers to run the business, and form submissions are stored in our customer relationship management system (currently GoHighLevel) so we can respond and follow up. Our hosting, analytics, and email providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We share information beyond that only if required by law.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — email Larry@smartwebadvisors.com and we’ll handle it promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act; we honor reasonable requests from anyone regardless of jurisdiction.
Data Retention and Security
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as we have a business reason to — responding to you, serving you as a client, or meeting legal obligations — and delete them when we don’t. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire site. No system is perfectly secure, and we’ll notify affected people as required if a breach ever occurs.
Children’s Privacy
This site is a business service for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we’ll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes affecting how we handle your information will be noted clearly.
